Not only do we supply IT systems to your requirements but we are experts in ensuring such applications interface effectively with other force-specific operational systems, area-wide IT collaborations, and National systems (e.g. Libra and PNC). This results in systems that do not need experts to use, that properly exploit available information assets, and that really do make policing easier. Two examples of our work are:

• Kent Police. IPL has a 7-year contract for managing the support and development of Genesis, a key element in enabling Kent Police to pursue its highly successful intelligence-led approach to policing.
• Wiltshire Police. In conjunction with our partner HCL, IPL has supplied a mobile and remote working solution that liberates officers from their desks and enables them to work better and smarter.

IPL and ISS4PS

Embracing NPIA’s ISS4PS guidelines is central to the development of new police IT solutions. IPL has invested significant time and effort in understanding the implications of ISS4PS on existing and future solutions, both at a local and national level. IPL is now uniquely equipped to assist police forces in embracing the challenge that ISS4PS has introduced.

Intelligent Policing product set

A key part of IPL’s offerings in the Emergency Services sector is our Intelligent Policing (IP) product set. IP is a framework for an integrated suite of components offering Intelligence, Crime, Case, Custody, ANPR analysis and Crime Mapping functionality. We believe it is unique in being the only product to be fully aligned with the principles of ISS4PS and whose design is based on a Service Orientated Architecture. The first components within the framework to be made fully available are IP ANPR and IP Map.
